We need closers.

Canopy is a text-based marketing partner for local service businesses. A small team builds it. We're hiring the people who sell it, and we hand them a real sales machine to do it with.

See open roles How we hire

The owner texts. The marketing gets done.

Canopy runs a local business's online presence over text. The owner texts Canopy, and their website, Google profile, reviews, blog and social posts get handled. They approve things by text and get back to work.

It costs $99 to $349 a month, month to month, no contracts, and the site is theirs to keep. We sell a product, not a service, so the machinery has to do the work. That goes for the machinery behind our own sales team too.

The bet is simple. Text is how people will run their marketing, with or without us. We'd rather be the ones who built for it first.

Four things we hold each other to.

Not values on a wall. These decide who gets hired, what gets built and what gets cut.

01

Say true things in short sentences.

Our customers are busy and can smell a pitch. So the copy, the texts and the job posts say what's true and stop.

02

The bar is the result, not the hours.

Your hours are yours. We count deals closed and work shipped, not time logged.

03

Do what you say you'll do.

Small team, nobody in between. If you say you'll call back Tuesday, Tuesday happens.

04

Build the machine.

When something is slow or ugly, we build the tool instead of hiring around it. Deck, our in-house CRM, exists because we'd rather build the right tool than hand people a bad one.

Remote, for real.

Every role is remote, anywhere in the US. There's no office to come into and no hours to keep.

Sales roles are part-time and commission only. No base, no benefits, and we say so in the post, not in the interview. What you get instead is leads, tooling, and recurring commission on every client you bring in.

Most sales jobs hand you a phone and a couple ugly tools.

We built the machine instead. This is what's waiting on day one.

Leads, sourced and ranked

All your leads are sourced, scored and ranked for you. You never prospect from scratch.

Deck, our in-house CRM

Simple. One lead at a time. Call and text in one click. Every dial, text and email on that lead sits in one thread.

Email outreach in the background

Sequences run on their own, generating interest. Replies land in your queue.

Voicemail drops

They warm your leads before you dial.

A free local visibility audit on every prospect

Rankings, map pack, competitors. You give them the diagnosis, then pitch the remedy. The product takes it from there.

Inbound, routed to you

Calls and texts from our site ring to you. Follow up over email, text or call, from a laptop or your own phone. Signups attribute to you automatically.

Training, if you want it

High level sales training at the start, and continuous improvement training if you need it.

One role open right now.

Every role here is remote. Click through for the whole post, including how you get paid.

Remote Inside Sales Representative

Call local business owners, show them where their business is invisible online, sign them up. Do it again.

That's the only open role right now. When another opens, it shows up here first.

We hear you sell before we read your resume.

Under an hour of your time, start to finish. No panel interviews, no take-home deck. Every step moves on its own, and you hear back at each one by text, either way.

  1. Show us how you'd open about ten minutes

Run our free audit on a local business you'd actually call. Then tell us the first ten seconds you'd say to that owner, in your words. That's the application.

  2. Pitch, on your own time sixty seconds

We text you a number. Call it, any hour, and leave a 60-second pitch to a plumber who just picked up. You have 48 hours.

  3. Fifteen minutes with our lead rep

A short call. Our lead rep plays an owner for five minutes and you pitch. Objections, coachability, fit with the person who'd train you.

  4. Fifteen minutes with the founder

The decision. You only get here after the lead rep says yes.

  5. An offer, in writing

Then a login to Deck and your first leads.

Skip a step and you've answered the question for us. Finish them and you'll talk to a person, both times.

Sound like you?

One open role. Ten minutes to apply. Everything after that moves on its own.
